Nervous to get started with soil moisture sensors?

Don’t worry, our Wireless Sensor Stations are easy-to-use, easy to install, & maintenance free.

Our Sensor Stations record data every 2 hours & send it to a Cellular Base Station, which automatically uploads it to the cloud.

Soil Moisture Sensors

We offer three types of soil moisture sensors:

  • Watermark Sensors: These sensors measure soil moisture tension (how hard the plant has to work to extract water from the soil).

  • Sentek Drill & Drop Sensors: These are volumetric sensors that directly measure the amount of water in the soil. They also measure soil temperature.

  • Sentek Drill & Drop Triscan Sensors: In addition to soil moisture & soil temperature, these sensors also measure electroconductivity.

antenna height

Select an antenna height that is tall enough to reach above the crop canopy throughout the entire growing season.

Our growers’ favorite feature: you can drive over the unit in the field! No need to move it during the season.

We have 4’, 8’, & 12’ antennas available.

communication & Power

Just 2 to 4 lithium AA batteries power our Sensor Stations & should last up to 2 years.

Sensor Stations send data collected via radio (“walkie-talkie style”) to a Cellular Base Station, which automatically uploads the measurements to the cloud.

Add-ons

Include a Davis Rain Collector as an add-on to your Sensor Station & view realtime precipitation alongside your soil moisture data.
